San Diego friends, this is an invitation for those who are feeling inspired to cultivate a life more connected to nature, spirit and community. This is a calling for those who are ready to gather around the fire in honor and celebration of the beauty and sacredness of all life.
Gathering of the Tribes is an opportunity for you to come together with like-minded people to cultivate deep connection and build community. Some of our key interests as a group are land stewardship, environmental sustainability, regeneration, resilience, social justice, permaculture, natural building, organic gardening/farming, bee keeping, holistic health, healing, life as ceremony, plant allies, spiritual connection, meditation, prayer, music, yoga, dance, life guided by purpose, seva/service, whole systems design, intentional community and ecovillage development.
If you would like to get a feel for the intentions of the gathering you can read our manifesto here. We gather in person on the 3rd Saturday of the month (unless otherwise scheduled).
Location & Date:
We typically gather on the 3rd Saturday of the month and rotate locations between Living Joy Homestead and Faye Park. Please see the Telegram or Facebook groups below for updated schedules and location.

Faye Park PARKING: The main driveway gate will be closed at the SW corner where the address number is visible, so continue on Fairview Dr. by following the yellow right arrow sign that you’ll see as you come up the hill. There is quite a bit of street parking around the property. Please however do not park on or alongside of the open field, and be respectful of neighbors. As a sleepy dead-end road, we just need to make sure there’s enough space for one car to pass through.
One of the entrances is tucked in our far NW corner of the property, marked by a Faye Park Sign. Follow this trail that goes along the south side of the fence line and it will guide you right where you need to go, to the East side of the main home.

Schedule
- This is a general schedule, please check the Telegram or Facebook Group for updated schedules & start times (start time fluctuates on time of year)
- 3:30 – Arrival Welcome (get settled, potluck prep and connect)
- 4:00 – Potluck begins ~ Food blessing ~ Soft Opening Circle (Main Opening/Welcome Circle around 4:45)
- 5:00 – Land Connection (a facilitate experience to connect with the land and nature)
- 5:45 – Community Connection Circle / Open Space / Collective Wisdom Harvest
- 7:00 – Fire Circle / Music / Dance / Connection / Celebration
- 10:00 – Closing Circle ~ Thank you
Important Details
These gatherings are family friendly and substance free (no drugs or alcohol please). We will be getting naturally high on connection with nature, spirit and community.
Make sure to bring a blanket, cushion or chair to sit on because we will be outside. You may also want to bring a hat or some shade, as well as layers if it gets colder in the evening. You are also invited to bring instruments… kindness… and an open heart.
With our focus on environmental sustainability we want to minimize our use of single use disposables for the potluck. Please bring your own water, cup, cutlery and plate/bowl. Think radical self reliance… while coming together with community to share. Please bring something healthy and tasty to share for the potluck… please also be mindful to hopefully not have a lot of single use disposables in what you bring for the potluck as well.
The gathering will be in the backyard. There is ample street parking in front of the house, park and welcome yourself into the property to find us. You are welcome to arrive and go whenever you’d like… yet if possible we’d LOVE to have you there with us for the WHOLE gathering!

Contribution & Reciprocity
This is a FREE gathering. If you feel inspired to contribute towards the community vision and gatherings you are welcome to donate on Patreon with as little as $1/month. You are also welcome to contribute a dollar or two cash at the gathering for firewood, and to offer to the venue.

Gathering of the Tribes is a global network of inspired souls ~ cultivating community that is deeply connected to nature and spirit. Groups all across the country/world are gathering on the same day each month with shared vision and intentions. Our global community meets once per month via Zoom on the first Thursday of the month. This is an opportunity to meet, network and weave with kin and community all around the world. More details about the monthly Zoom meetings can be found here.
If you have friends in another town or city that you think would like to be involved in this movement… please forward this information, and let them know they are invited to host a gathering in their own town on the third Saturday of the month using this template.
