Gathering of the Tribes (Lumeria)
We invite you to join us for Gathering of the Tribes at Lumeria in Baja California – a transformational 3 day experience followed by an optional week long deep dive into conscious and ecological community living and building!
This is an invitation for those who are feeling inspired to cultivate a life more connected to nature, spirit and community. This is a calling for those who are ready to gather around the fire in honor and celebration of the beauty and sacredness of all life.
Gathering of the Tribes is an opportunity for you to come together with like-minded people to cultivate deep connection and build community. Some of our key interests are land stewardship, environmental sustainability, regeneration, resilience, social justice, permaculture, natural building, organic gardening/farming, bee keeping, holistic health, healing, life as ceremony, plant allies, spiritual connection, meditation, prayer, music, yoga, dance, life guided by purpose, seva/service, whole systems design, intentional community and ecovillage development.
Lumeria is a beautiful 15 acre beachfront property on the Sea of Cortez located between La Paz and Cabo in Baja California (Google map location). There are currently two 4 bed/4 bath houses, another building with a community kitchen and dining hall below and studio above, a desalination plant for water and bell tents for glamping – all powered by solar!
Part of the intention for this gathering is to bring people down to this beautiful location to explore the possibilities of what type of community and projects can be cocreated on this land! There is currently a Yoga Retreat being designed and built on 3 acres. There are 12 acres (including all the structures and infrastructure mentioned above) that are an open canvas for the cocreative spirit of the participants of our gathering. The current landowner and steward is open to many ideas and possibilities for what is to be created on the property… including the potential of putting the land into a land trust that is stewarded and managed by community members. We will also explore ways that participants can support the vision and be involved in the development of the Yoga Retreat.

The vision for Lumeria is to create an Ecovillage & Wellness/Yoga Sanctuary that demonstrates holistic, healthy, thriving and regenerative ways of living that are in right relation and harmony with the planet as a whole. We are creating a multi-generational community and wellness/yoga center where residents and guests feel safe, inspired, loved, supported, whole and rejuvenated. We will provide inspiration, education and experiences that support the optimal health and wellbeing of the planet (humans and the biosphere as a whole).

Gathering of the Tribes (Lumeria 3 Days)
DATES: October 20-22nd
Join us for 3 days of connecting with spirit, nature and community! Kin-nect with other commUnity builders via interactive experiences and participate in the cocreation of what will be happening at Lumeria and the Yoga Retreat.
Participants are welcome to arrive at Lumeria anytime on Friday (Oct 20th) to check in and get settled, our Opening Circle will begin at 3:30pm (participants can also arrive on the land Thursday evening from 5-9pm). The gathering will conclude on Sunday evening (Oct 22nd)… participants are welcome to stay at Lumeria on Sunday night as well. Each day will include approximately 4-6 hours of scheduled group sessions and facilitated experiences, there will also be a good amount of free time for connecting with other participants and enjoying the beautiful private beach and nature of Lumeria (bring your instruments to make music)! If you are interested in potentially arriving at the land a couple days before the gathering – that might be a possibility – you will have to ask and coordinate with Joshua directly about this possibility.

Community Incubator & Exploration Week
DATES: October 23-29th (1 week)
A co-living, co-working, co-laboratory experience focused on Regenerative Community Development!
After our 3 day gathering we will have an optional one week Community Incubator. This week long container will provide people with an opportunity to explore the surrounding area and explore the potential of being involved with Lumeria near term and/or long term (potentially being involved with the Yoga Retreat and/or the vision, planning and development for the 12 acres). This container will also provide participants with an opportunity to get a taste of intentional community living with a group of people with shared similar values of sustainability, regeneration, holistic health and conscious lifestyle.
Each day we will have approximately 2 hours dedicated to facilitated group practices, processes and activities focused on community building and supporting the vision, planning and development of Lumeria (Yoga Retreat and the 12 acres). The rest of the time people will be free to enjoy the land, explore the area and/or do personal work (there is Starlink onsite with wifi).
People will have the opportunity to deepen relationships, build friendships, network with like-minded community builders, cultivate effective communication skills and bring harmonious resolution/alchemy to conflict. We will also have the opportunity to share in fun, joy and celebration together (music, dance, yoga, meditation, beach time, water activities, local adventures of the area etc – bring your instruments)!
If after the week is complete there are several people that feel extremely aligned and interested to be more deeply involved with Lumeria, there is the possibility to stay longer (potentially up to one month). This would need to be talked about directly with Joshua and Jack (the landowner/steward), and agreed upon.
