It is with great joy & enthusiasm we invite you to our first monthly Local Earth CommUnity event for 2017!!  We will be visiting a newly built tiny house for one of our Local Earth team members (Ashley Mazanec of Let’s Talk About the Weather) that is located on the organic Coral Tree Farm in Encinitas.  The Tiny House was built by a local company called Zen Cottages and features a greywater system that nourishes a small nearby fruit orchard. We will get a tour of the tiny house, learn about zoning and permitting laws for alternative structures, learn about the functionality of the graywater system and receive a tour of the farm as well! Coral Tree is a nonprofit educational farm that is considered ‘beyond organic’ and uses no pesticides.  Please bring a tasty, organic, vegetarian dish to share for our potluck!

The intention of our monthly events is to inspire our San Diego commUnity with examples of sustainable living and demonstrations of regenerative systems.  We showcase local people, companies and organizations that are taking steps of action to create a more healthy world!  These are also great networking events for people interested in creating and living in ecovillages.  Our core mission here at Local Earth is to design and develop a global network of ecovillages.
