Local Earth is honored to provide ReGenerative Community Development Consulting with Joshua Alvord. Mr. Alvord has diverse experience in this field with a professional background in Architecture (Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo). Mr. Alvord has dedicated the last 10 years of his life to research, education and experiential learning focused on regenerative community development. This includes completing Whole Systems/Ecological Design certifications with Gaia Education, Solar Consulting certification with Powur, Permaculture Design Certification with the Permaculture Academy, Natural Building certifications with Cal-Earth Institute, Sociocracy training (organizational modeling & governance), facilitator training with the Transition Network, facilitator training with Pachamama Alliance (Awakening the Dreamer Symposium) and serving as a Digital/Crypto Currency Ambassador with SEEDS Conscious Currency.
Mr. Alvord and Local Earth as an organization recently completed a 2 year case-study ecovillage project (April 2018 – 2020) located 45 minutes outside of San Diego, CA. This prototype project was an opportunity to test and implement many of the systems and modalities researched above.
Mr. Alvord provides his consulting skills and services in a hybrid role for whatever is most needed in a project. This includes project support/assistance, consultation and/or management. The fee is $20-$40/hour dependent on the scope, scale and type of work.
